Keen to take on Jim Knous. He’s out of his depth. 15 missed cuts in his previous 18 events tell the story. This round is huge. Come Sunday evening as the sunsets on Silverado he could be a PGA Tour player or he might not even have a card on the Korn Ferry. He won’t be wearing white trousers today.
Knous has relied heavily on his short game, and I doubt that can keep getting him out of trouble. He’ll play alongside co-leader McNealy who is a promising golfer with a bright future. He hails from California and was really cool in contention at Pebble Beach earlier in the season. McNealy has been in excellent form with Top 30 finishes in 7 of his last 8 events.
