3 US Open golf betting tips from the Place markets. Starting with my standard Steve Stricker Top 20 Finish bet. I’m not going to wet my pants with excitement like I did last time, I promise, but this looks a good price.
Stricker has finished in the Top 20 in 16 of his last 27 Majors. He was in the field in 2006 when Winged Foot last staged the US Open. He led after 36 holes and finished T6. Stricker has been playing well on the Champions Tour of late with Top 10s in 4 of his last 5 appearances.
Andy Sullivan Top Englishman is arguably my favourite bet of the week. He’s in great form, leading the European Tour scoring average and winning a title by 7 shots after lockdown.
We gave @AndySulliGolf 500 balls to see if he could make a hole-in-one.

The last US Open he played was at Oakmont. He was T7 after 36 holes and finished 23rd. How many Englishman finished ahead of him that week? ZERO!!
Looking at this market in more depth, I think Rose, Casey, Poulter, Westwood, Wallace, Willett, Lewis and Pepperell all come into this event playing below their best level. So 33/1 on Sullivan looks very tempting.
888sport are offering this but the market is tricky to find. Click on U.S Open 2020 Predictions, then “Nationality” and scroll down. You need to place 2 separate bets. 33/1 the win, 7/1 for the top 3. Why is life so difficult?
Last but not least, Brandt Snedeker. He’s the first player I’ve tipped this week that’s isn’t playing well. In fact, he’s playing sh*t. But his US Open record is lush! Top 10 finishes in 4 of his last 9 US Opens. Very few players putt the Poa Annua better than Brandt and 22/1 looks worth a fiver.
