Football betting has been my nemesis down the years. I’m sure I’m not the only one. Across the last 10 years I’ve tried betting on pretty much every market there is. I’ve introduced new strategies. I’ve priced up matches from most leagues around the world.
I’ve come to a few conclusions. The first being, I am sh*t at football betting. Hence why I have given myself such a low rating. However of late my results have been ok.
In the 2019/20 season I netted a £400 profit as I focused mainly on the player markets. One concept I have gotten my head around is the importance of inidividuals players. Most punters focus on team results. But those results are determined by how their players perform.
If a team is missing key players, then the chances are their results will suffer as a consequence. I’ve started to focus on player markets such as anytime goalscorer and card markets. This has turned my fortunes around and hopefully I can continue to build my profit into the 2020/21 season.
