A lot to cover so lets get to it!
Cameron Tringale – This is a player I’ve followed for a while and happy to get on board in a top 20 bet. There is crude value with this landing 5 times in the last 23 events. I’d have this priced around 7/2.
Camilo Villegas – The hero story I’ve touched on in the last few weeks and I’m willing this guy on to do well. It’s hard to see the value here with 3 missed cuts and no top 20s in the last 5 events. That said in his last 10 measured round his SG tee to green is 16th on tour which is why I’m making him no more than 9/2 in this market. The eagle eyed among you may see that I’ve put an each way tip in here on Camilo too. The reasoning behind this is his putting has been shocking so far this season but that is an element that can just click one week. It’s a massive long shot but I’d still only have the price just in the treble figures so 500/1 with 8 places looks worth a stab to me. KEEP STAKES LOW!
Harold Varner III – I wrote about Varner yesterday as I have done multiple times in previous weeks. Whilst we may have to rethink backing Varner as an outright tip given he always seems to fall short of placing, this is one market I think we can exploit on Varner for a while to come if things stay as they are. As usual I think this should be ridiculously short in comparison to the price offered (around 6/4). This has landed 8 out of his last 26 attempts. Surely this is value in the field this week!
James Hahn – Hahn has had a great start to this season with 3 top 10s from 4 events. His game has been very well rounded so should have the consistency to go close here too. Not much more to say than I’d have this priced around 7/2.
Lucas Glover – This has landed 3 times in the last 26 events which actually doesn’t indicate value. That said there is a 21st and two 23rd places to go with that so could easily be the other way around. Should probably just be below the price we’re getting here so don’t take anything less than 6/1.
Michael Gligic – This market has already landed in 2 of his 5 events this saeson. The cut was made in another of those 2 events so generally playing pretty good at the moment. There has been quite a strong dependancy on putting well so far this year which is a worry as is arguably the most variable part of one’s game but for me this should probably just be below the price we’re getting here – don’t take anything less than 10/1.
JJ Spaun – This is a pretty big price available on someone who so far this season is top 10 in SG Tee to Green. Concerns from last season as although making the cut 50% of the time he only kicked on to place in this market once. But with a top 10 already this season I’m happy to go to the races on the price. I’d have this around 8/1.
Kevin Streelman – It has been a long time since Streelman won on the tour (2014 was the last time :/). That said his overall game looks in good shape and hard to pick fault with at the moment. Whilst the win part of the bet doesn’t have any clear signs of value in the last year or so the place aspect is encouraging with 5 of his last 29 events resulting in a pay out on these terms. That’s pretty darn good. Two of those were second places last season too and in this field I’d have him around 100/1. With max places on offer this price looks good.
