These free golf betting tips come from the Palmetto Championship. A new venue this week at Congaree, a Tom Fazio design course which is set to play firm and fast.
There is no rough, if you miss the fairway you’ll find yourself in a sand waste area. It’s located in South Carolina, where the RSM Classic and RBC Heritage also take place.
Patton Kizzire has posted Top 3 finishes in 2 of his last 3 tournaments. Golf Bet at Action Network have done a great article looking at the key stats for Congaree this week. Kizzire ranks 1st in approach play over the last 24 rounds and 1st in putting on fast Bermuda Greens. Enough to spark my interest.
Vincent Whaley is playing the most consistent golf of almost anyone on the PGA Tour right now. His worst finish in his last 9 events was T36 at the Honda Classic. He’s finished T20 – T26 – T26 – T29 in his last 4 events.
With a weaker field due to the US Open taking place next week, a similar level of golf could be enough for a Top 10. I prefer that market as he’s not got any experience of contending at this level. He went to college in neighbouring Georgia so should enjoy playing here in South Carolina.
Kevin Kisner looks worth a poke despite his poor form. Congaree is located just a couple of hours from where Kisner was born and still lives. Some of his best golf has come in this state. He’s a past champion in the RSM Classic where he lost a playoff earlier this season. He also lost in a playoff at Hilton Head.
Had Kisner been in any sort of form coming into this event he’d have been no bigger than 33/1. He did end a run of missed cuts by finishing T40 last time out at Colonial.
John Pak has just turned pro. He was the No.1 player in college winning both the Haskin Award and the Jack Nicklaus Award. The latter was presented to him last week during the Memorial. Brooks Koepka paid for a chartered flight for Pak and his buddies to get to Ohio, life is good right now.
He won 8 times during his college career. In 10 events in his Senior year his worst result was 12th. He made the cut at Winged Foot last season in the US Open and played in the 2019 and 2021 Walker Cups. Odds of 18.0 for a Top 10 finish look worth a look.
