As much as I love Premier League football, the thought of spending my Friday evening watching this game, doesn’t exactly excite me.
However, put a few bets on and suddenly my interest is sparked. Albeit I’m being very cautious with my stakes. As I always am and as you should always be. Gamble safely folks.
Zaha is out! Or at least that’s what the previews are telling us. He’s still in isolation and given Palace have lost 14 of their last 16 matches without him, they are easy to oppose here, even if Newcastle are shit!
6 of the last 7 meetings between these 2 sides finished U1.5 goals. Those 7 games saw a grand total of 7 goals scored. Don’t expect a goal-fest tonight. 2/1 for Under 1.5 goals is worth a couple of quid.
Combine those two bets and the only possible scoreline is 1-0 Newcastle. The same scoreline by which Palace were beaten at Turf Moor in their last Premier League outing.
Finally I’m delving into my favourite market. The card markets. Credit to Tom Love for this as he put it up on the oddschecker tips page. I’m sure I would have come to same conclusion.
After all I landed a nice winner on Lowton when he fouled Eze. He’s taken up the dribbling duties with Zaha missing and playing on the right hand side against Palace is still a dangerous place to be.
With Newcastle playing really deep at times it makes sense to look at their right sided midfielder. Jacob Murphy has actually been booked in 2 of his last 3 Premier League games.
Not the best referee appointment in Graham Scott but at a massive price of 8.5, this is definitely a bet which excites me.
