I’ve always had a passion for betting on darts. I find it enthralling to know that the width of a wire, can be the difference between elation or misery.
In my youth I once had £500 on Colin Lloyd to beat Wayne Mardle. It was the World Championship and the best of 7 sets. Lloyd was World Number 1 at the time and the 13/8 underdog.
When he led 3-1 in sets I was buzzing. But joy turned to pain as Mardle reeled off sets 5,6 and 7. I can still remember my dad asking if I was ok as I lay on the floor with my head in my hands for quite a long period of time.
My most memorable winners are MVG at 40/1 to win the World Grand Prix. Phil Taylor at 20/1 to win the World Matchplay and Rob Cross 70/1 to win the World Championship.
I’m optimistic that I can improve my results going forward and help darts punters beat the bookmakers by offer value tips. I don’t try and pick winners.
All my tips are based on value. I’ll price up the markets myself and only tip when the bookmakers odds are higher than mine.
